Patients with chronic lung conditions such as asthma, emphysema or chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD) require surveillance of their blood oxygen level, lung function and vital signs. Between visits to their health care provider, the BiotechMD system will enable to monitor via spirometry the lung function, as well as oxygen levels in the blood, blood pressure and other vital signs. This information, which is uploaded to a unique patient database, can be accessed by the BiotechMD physician, and combined with frequent video interaction with the patient. By monitoring response to medications, and overall symptoms, the condition can be better managed in-between the patient’s visits to his/her regular provider.
